October is known as National Dessert Month and Oct. 14 is National Dessert Day. Here are some of the great desserts to be found in Las Vegas:

The Whiskey Bread Pudding at The Kitchen at Atomic is made with bourbon barrel-aged maple syrup, honey cardamom whipped cream, fresh fruit and powdered sugar. 

The Chart House at Golden Nugget is celebrating National Dessert Month by offering a special dessert on Oct. 14. The decadent ice cream trio features maple and candied pepper bacon ice cream, peanut butter chocolate swirl and pomegranate ganache. $9. 

Guests can enjoy Elephant Bar Restaurant’s New York Cheesecake with Strawberry Sauce made with homemade cheesecake and pistachio-Oreo crust for National Dessert Day.

Emeril Lagasse's Banana Cream Pie is available at two restaurants in Las Vegas -- Delmonico Steakhouse and Emeril's New Orleans Fish House. Made with 3 pounds of fresh bananas per pie and topepd with whipped cream, caramel and chocolate. $12. 

Holsteins Shakes and Buns is celebrating National Dessert Month with a variety of bam-boozled milkshakes including the Drunken Monkey made with hazelnut liquer, malt, banana, Reese's Peanut Butter Cups, banana Laffy Taffy and The Fat Boy made with chocolate-caramel vodka, Oreo cookies, Reese's Peanut Butter Cups, Froot Loops, Butterfinger, vanilla frosting. Or, try the Donutella Bam-Boozled Shake made with Patron XO Cafe, Nutella, chocolate coffee beans and a Nutella glazed donut. $15 for each. 

Hussong's Cantina is offering a free dessert on National Dessert Day for guests who check in on social media and purchase an entree. Hussong's Cantina is a tradition Mexican eatery that offers an array of desserts such as authentic cinnamon and sugar churros, classic fried ice cream and flan.  The restaurant also serves dessert nachos, sopapillas and a vegan chocolate cake. 

Pancho's Mexican Restaurant in Downtown Summerlin is featuring hot, fresh sopapillas -- crispy pastries covered in cinnamon sugar, drizzled in caramel sauce and served with vanilla ice cream -- on National Dessert Day.

Public House guests can choose their base, sauce, ice cream and toppings with Public House’s build-your-own dessert menu with options like Chocolate Layer Cake or Carrot Cake Fritters as the base, Chantilly or Dark Chocolate Fudge for the sauce, Cocoa Dark Chocolate Ice Cream or Almond Milk Sorbet as the ice cream, and Coconut Pearl Sugar Cookie or Snickerdoodle Crumble for the toppings, along with a variety of other options. 

PT's Taverns, with 60 locations throughout the state, will offer its Chocolate Chip Zookie for $7 in celebration of National Dessert Day on Oct. 14. The Chocolate Chip Zookie is a soft-baked chocolate chip cookie topped with vanilla ice cream, chocolate sauce, caramel sauce and whipped cream.
Oakville Steakhouse inside Tropicana Las Vegas is celebrating National Dessert Month by making dessert something fun for everyone. Their chocolate lava cake is served with a scoop of ice cream, a thin chocolate cookie and topped with a brownie. 

Rolled Ice Cream is the best place to get your ice cream fix on National Dessert Day! With more than 40 house creations and unique flavors, Rolled Ice Cream uses a top secret, preservative free, sweet cream to create the purest form of ice cream possible. Guests are also able to build their own rolls and watch the rolling artists create their dessert right in front of them on a 32 degree rolling plate. Starts at $5.99. 

Therapy restaurant in downtown Las Vegas is combining two fan favorites into one -- Chocolate Banana Bread Pudding. The American gastropub elevates bread pudding to the next level by adding creamy chocolate and topping with caramelized bananas, banana sorbet, hazelnut and salted caramel infused with Therapy’s signature Smoke Wagon Whiskey, priced at $10.

STK at The Cosmopolitan is featuring #thecloud on National Dessert Day. Made with angel food cake, fresh strawberries, white chocolate cremeux and strawberry ice cream surrounded by a fluffy cloud of cotton candy. The cotton candy is drizzled with orange liqueur and torched table side to reveal the delicious strawberry dessert inside.

The world-famous King Kong Sundae at Sugar Factory is made with 24 scoops of ice cream and topped with various toppings and sparklers. $99. 

Slater's 50/50 is suggesting their Ultimate S'more Shake on National Dessert Day. The toasted marshmallow shake features marshmallow fluff and crumbled graham cracker crust and is topped with marshmallows, chocolate syrup and a campfire roasted s’more!

TREVI Italian Restaurant inside The Forum Shops at Caesars  is fulfilling sweet dreams with their Italian delight, ideal for celebrating National Dessert Day. The cake is a traditional butter cake, layered with coconut, pecans and frosted with cream cheese buttercream. The slice of heaven is available for $10.
