ORIGINAL STORY

Zombies will be taking over Fremont Street this summer.

The Fremont Street Experience has announced that a year-round attraction based on "The Walking Dead" is in the works. The name of the attraction is "Fear the Walking Dead."

The attraction is described as part thrill ride, part escape room, part maze, part haunted house and part video game.

It is being built by Triotech, a Canadian company that is known for its innovative multi-sensory interaction attractions. Triotech also built the Ninjago ride at Legoland in California.

The initial announcement about the attraction was made in November at the 2016 IAAPA Attractions Expo by Triotech. However, no other details have been released since then until Fremont Street Experience posted the notice on their website on Thursday.
