at SLS Las Vegas, is offering guests an indulgent caviar and cocktail pairing on July 18.
The Around the World in 80 Days cocktail was created to complement the combination of nori seaweed, ibérico ham and flying fish roe found in the José’s Asian Taco. Made with Hidalgo La Gitana manzanilla sherry, Del Maguey Ibérico mezcal, Bols Genever gin and Okunomatsu Junmai Daiginjo sparkling sake, the Around the World in 80 Days is priced at $18.
Other caviar offerings include the Lhardy’s Madrid Beef Consommé soup, made with caviar, beef consommé, sherry wine and quail egg, priced at $12; the Abalone, made with Dashi gelée, lemon, soy and trout roe, priced at $35; the Bagels & Lox Cone, made with dill cream cheese and salmon roe, priced at $6 each; and three 2-ounce caviar flights served with chives, crème fraîche, egg, shallot and pomme soufflé, and prepared with Rainbow Trout Roe, Salmon Roe and Flying Fish Roe, priced at $45; Osetra, Malossol and Rainbow Trout Roe, priced at $185; or Kaluga, Malossol and Tsar Imperial Shassetra, priced at $350.
Or, you may want to try the Taco de huevo caviar at Jaleo by Jose Andres inside The Cosmopolitan. A fried egg stands in for the tortilla and the special taco filling is made with Royal Osetra caviar, brioche and truffles. Cost is $26.
