Channing Tatum was in this week for the debut of the new show "Magic Mike Live" at the Hard Rock hotel-casino. He took the stage on Thursday night for a surprise introduction.
"Magic Mike Live" is based on the movies that featured Tatum as a handyman who begins dancing to make ends meet. However, he spends much of the movie trying to prove his is more than a male stripper.
The new show at the Hard Rock was conceived and is co-directed by the movie star. The aim of the show is to be different than the traditional male revue in Las Vegas.
The show starts 13 men and 2 women. Performances are Wednesdays through Sundays at 7:30 and 10 p.m. The official grand opening is scheduled for April 21.
