A local girl will be honored at the upcoming Rose Parade after her kidneys saved the lives of two women.
When 15-year-old Lauren Deschaine died from a stroke, her mother decided to donate her organs.
On Monday, Deschaine’s family will be joined by administrators, teachers, counselors and students from Coronado High School to finish the custom floragraph, a portrait made of floral and natural materials, before it makes its debut on the Donate Life Float at the Rose Parade in Pasadena, Calif., on Jan. 1.
