The Clark County Fire Department opened their doors at Fire Station 23 on Saturday for their Fill the Fire Truck holiday toy drive.
They accepted toys and gift card donations to be given out to needy children in Southern Nevada. The department also offered tours of the station to children.
"Firefighters love having kids in the firehouse because most firefighters went to a firehouse when they were young... and a lot of times that's where their fire career started," said Capt. Clark Lamping.
The department also says that they see a lot of fires this time of year because of Christmas trees being kept too close to heaters or fireplaces.
