LAS VEGAS (KTNV) — City of Las Vegas council members and staff are delivering Thanksgiving food to residents on Tuesday, according to the city.

In Ward 3, Councilwoman Olivia Diaz is donating about 663 pumpkin loaves to seniors and around 140 turkeys with fixings to families.

Those donations were made possible in part thanks to a partnership with the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Downtown Area Command, Culinary Union, National Latino Peace Officers Association and Clark County School District Communities in Schools.

In Ward 5, Councilman Cedric Crear is sponsoring a total of 900 turkeys with bags of Thanksgiving supplies for residents.

In Ward 6, Councilwoman Michele Fiore is distributing packaged dinners for 300 seniors. The meals contain roast turkey and gravy, mashed potatoes, stuffing, green beans, tossed green salad with vinaigrette dressing, cranberry sauce, roll, butter and pumpkin pie.
