Communities In Schools of Nevada (CIS of Nevada), the state operation of the nation’s leading dropout prevention organization, will be the Mondays Dark featured charity on March 4 at The Space, 3460 Cavaretta Court. The evening will begin with a silent auction offering vacations and getaways, spa treatments, luxury experiences and more. Guests can sip on delicious cocktails while bidding from their mobile phone. The silent auction will be followed by entertainment from some of Las Vegas’ favorite shows and performers, celebrating the music of Elton John.
Mark Shunock, the creator and host of Mondays Dark, began this initiative three years ago with the goal of allowing Vegas entertainers to give back to their city. Now, twice a month, Mark and a rotating-selection of beloved, local entertainers reinvent their “dark days” into a night of giving. The goal for each event is to raise $10,000 during the fun and interactive 90-minute program. One hundred percent of the evening’s proceeds will benefit CIS of Nevada to further their mission of surrounding students with a community of support, empowering them to stay in school and achieve in life.
