Today is National Flip Flop Day and the footwear is a favorite in Las Vegas.
Tropical Smoothie Cafe is saying thank you to its guests with free Sunshine Smoothies from 2 to 7 p.m. June 14 in celebration of National Flip Flop Day, which is created in 2007 to celebrate its 10th anniversary. Customers who wear flip flops to any of the 28 Tropical Smoothie Cafe locations in Las Vegas will receive a free 16-ounce Sunshine Smoothie, a mix of mangos, bananas, oranges and pineapple. Historically, National Flip Flop Day has also been the system’s largest fundraising day during its two month fundraising campaign for Camp Sunshine, a retreat for children with life-threatening illnesses and their families in Casco, Maine. In addition to free 16-ounce Sunshine Smoothies, at select locations, cafes will offer a five percent discount card for in-cafe donations of $5.00 or more, allowing guests to receive five percent off their purchases for the remainder of the year.
