In an effort to give back to those less fortunate, Las Vegas-based Capriotti’s Sandwich Shop, is partnering with the Las Vegas Rescue Mission to provide meals to neighbors in need this Thanksgiving.
Capriotti’s, in collaboration with some of its vendors, will be donating Thanksgiving meal essentials to the mission; including 500 lbs. of Butterball turkeys, cranberry sauce, cookies, tuna, cheese and more – enough to feed more than 500 people in need in the Las Vegas community.
Participating vendors include Butterball, SYSCO, Kens, Kraft, Ocean Spray Cranberries, Saputo, Hopes Cookies, Campbell’s, Atalanta and B&G Food.
Those interested can come to the mission on Nov. 25 at 3 p.m. for a hot, holiday meal in a safe environment following strict COVID-19 health and safety protocols.
Recent research suggests the number of COVID-19 cases will rise among the homeless populations in the nation’s major cities. Especially at the onset of the holiday season, the pandemic will add additional stressors for this population.
Through this initiative, Capriotti’s and its vendors have committed to provide these Thanksgiving meal essentials to the Las Vegas Rescue Mission this season to lend a helping hand with the goal to restore hope.
