Lyft, which allows individuals to book rides in private vehicles via an app, is offering a new service in Las Vegas. It's called Lyft Line.

Lyft Line allows passengers going the same route to share the ride for a discounted price.

The service launched Thursday in Las Vegas. To celebrate the launch, riders receive a discounted price of up to 50% during the first two weeks of their Line rides.

Lyft says that it launched the new service to help reduce traffic on roads. Las Vegas is the 15th city in which Lyft Line has been made available.
