Boyd Gaming is making the season of giving brighter with its sixth annual holiday competition, Wreaths of Hope.
A total of 35 local charities will compete in one of Las Vegas’ favorite holiday traditions, as Boyd Gaming awards a prize pool of $60,000 to non-profit organizations across the Valley.
To allow for safe social distancing by participants, Boyd Gaming is temporarily changing this annual event from “Trees of Hope” to “Wreaths of Hope.”
This year, local non-profit organizations will decorate wreaths in the spirit of their organization that will be displayed at seven Boyd Gaming destinations: Aliante, The Orleans, Gold Coast, Suncoast, Sam’s Town, Cannery and California.
Beginning Nov. 23 through Dec. 16, the public is invited to vote for their favorite charity’s decorated wreath at each participating property, or online via Boyd Gaming social media platforms.
The seven Las Vegas properties will each award an $8,500 prize pool to participating charities. To provide local non-profit organizations with additional assistance during these difficult times, Boyd Gaming is increasing all cash prizes this year by $500, with a first-place prize of $3,000 and a guaranteed minimum cash prize of $1,000 for all participants.
Winners will be decided by public vote at each destination. A B Connected player’s card account is required to vote on property.
While people of all ages are welcome to view the Wreaths of Hope displays, guests must be 21 or older to cast a vote.
Additionally, guests must have an active B Connected card account to cast a vote on property.
Membership is free and available at the Player’s Club. Voting opens at 6 a.m. on Nov. 23, and will remain open through 11:59 p.m. on Dec. 16. Swipe at any kiosk daily at participating destinations to cast your vote.
Voting is limited to one vote per account, per property, per day during the contest.
The public is invited to follow the event and support their favorite charity on social media using the hashtag #WreathsofHopeLV.
