The Community Baby Bash Immunizations & Health Fair is offering free childhood immunizations for eligible babies and toddlers from 9 a.m. - noon on Saturday, April 16 at the Health District's main public health center. The event is hosted by the Southern Nevada Health District, Immunize Nevada, and the Junior League of Las Vegas.

The event will offer dental and vision screenings for children, family resources information, free car seats, prizes, and more. Parents should bring their children's immunization records. Visit the Community Baby Bash web page for more information and to sign up for updates about the event.

Immunizations are considered to be among the most important public health advances of the 20th century and have reduced infant deaths and disabilities from preventable diseases. Immunization campaigns have eradicated smallpox worldwide, and the United States has been polio-free since 1979.

For those who cannot attend the event, the Health District regularly offers immunizations at its public health centers. Check their websitefor more information.
