LAS VEGAS (KTNV) — Spring NASCAR weekend has officially rolled into town. But before the cars hit the tract, some big rigs are taking to the streets and it's going to be bigger and better!

The annual Hauler Parade kicks off this annual race and this year it's making a stop in Downtown Las Vegas. I went around town to the Las Vegas Motor Speedway, where it's the calm before this weekends racing storm, and got a chance to see where the haulers will end the parade.

Over 40 brightly-colored haulers carrying race cars that will be used in the races will start the parade at the famous Welcome to Las Vegas sign. From there they'll head north on the Strip and through Downtown on Fremont Street (a first for the Hauler Parade route). Then the brigade of big rigs will hit Interstate 15 North and end up at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway, where they'll park in the Neon Garage.

The team at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway are excited to get this weekend going up. "Everybody's headed west for Vegas for some great NASCAR Weekend," says Neal Reid of the Las Vegas Motor Speedway.

NASCAR fans are encouraged to take pictures of the haulers as they cruise down the Strip. For fans who can't make it to the parade, the Speedway has a host of activities to keep them active during the Spring NASCAR weekend.
