Amazon hiring more than 100 corporate employees in Las Vegas area

Amazon has announced that it is hiring another 125 people in the Las Vegas area.

They have also opened a 30,000-square-foot office in Town Square to help them more than double its corporate workforce in the area.

The more will more than double its corporate workforce in the Las Vegas valley.

Amazon’s Las Vegas office currently has more than 100 employees specializing in managing leave of absence and accommodation services for the company’s employees across the United States.

Amazon is also donation $100,000 to 2 food banks to demonstrate its investment in Nevada. The money will go to Three Square Food Bank in the Las Vegas area and Food Bank of Northern Nevada in Reno.

Amazon is also funding computer science classes or robotic programs in 11 Nevada high schools. Amazon has also awarded three students from Nevada the Amazon Future Engineer Scholarship award, which provides $40,000 in funding to students from disadvantaged or underrepresented backgrounds to study computer science in college, and receive a guaranteed, paid internship offer at Amazon.

Amazon has created more than 3,500 full-time jobs and invested over $2.5 billion in Nevada since 2011, including customer fulfillment infrastructure and compensation to our employees.
