The Animal Foundation is participating in the annual Clear the Shelters event this weekend. It's happening Aug. 17.
The event is taking place from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. at the Foundation's main campus and PetSmart adoption centers. All adoption fees will be waived during that time.
The city of Henderson is also participating.
In partnership with Telemundo Las Vegas, the City of Henderson Animal Care and Control Facility is hosting this special adoption event on Aug. 17 and 18. The Shelter will be open from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. each day. Adoptions end at 4:30 p.m.; anyone who would like to adopt a pet during the event must have their furry friend chosen before 4:30 p.m.
The shelter is located at 300 E. Galleria Dr. (east of Boulder Highway, near the Bird Viewing Preserve).
All cat, dog and rabbit adoptions will be half price, with an additional 50 percent discount for Henderson residents (please bring a driver’s license or other state-issued ID):
• Cats/kittens: $40 for non-residents (regularly $80), $20 for Henderson residents;
• Dogs/puppies: $45 for non-residents (regularly $90, $22.50 for Henderson residents;
• Rabbits: $17.50 for non-residents (regularly $35); $8.75 for Henderson residents;
