A local organization asked people to "dare to walk" for epilepsy awareness Saturday.

The 2nd annual #Dare to Walk to Epilepsy benefiting the Epilepsy Foundation of Nevada was held on the walking trails at Sunset Park.

"Epilepsy is still not recognized very often," said Danielle Morano, executive director. "There's still a stigma attached to it. So that's what we are doing today to let everyone know. It's such a great day for everyone to be united together."

Our own Good Morning Las Vegas Anchor Beth Fisher was the emcee of the event.

Music, food and family activities with a balloon artist and mascot for kids were featured. Walkers’ Village showcased sponsor booths, including the main Epilepsy Foundation booth where participants could gather information and enter for giveaways from corporate supporters and partner organizations.

Sponsors include Cyberonics, UCB, Lundbeck, Upsher-Smith, Sunovion, Supernus, Eisai and Stardust Fall Out.
