2016 Cinco de Mayo events, specials in Las Vegas

List of events and specials offered for Cinco de Mayo 2016.
Drink specials include the Cabo Flight, three sample shots of different Cabo Wabo Tequilas, priced at $21; a variety of ice-cold cervezas and signature margaritas including the Mango Picante Margarita, a blend of jalapeno, mango, Cabo Wabo Blanco tequila, triple sec and sweet and sour, priced at $14.The restaurant will also offer signature dishes for $14.95 and offer live music on the patio starting at 7 p.m.
Cantina Laredo will transform its indoor-outdoor restaurant into a weekend-long Cinco de Mayo celebration May 5-7. The three-day fiesta will feature live entertainment, raffle prizes and food and handcrafted cocktail specials. The restaurant offers a family-friendly fiesta in the afternoon on May 7 featuring food and drink specials, pony rides, a petting zoo, bounce house and more.
Dog Haus Vegas’ exclusive Cinco de Mayo celebration will feature $5 tequila shots and happy hour all day. Happy hour food and drink specials include dog, burger and corndog sliders, fries and tater tots for $1.25 each, along with two-for-one craft beers and red and white Haus wine.
Loco Cantina at Town Square will be spicing up their happy hour specials in the restaurant and on the patio. A one-night-only “5 Happy Hours of Cinco de Mayo” special kicks off at 5 p.m. and offers hungry party-goers hourly specials for the entire night. The evening specials will be as follows: 5 to 6 p.m.: $1 Tacos; 6 to 7 p.m.: $2 Coronas; 7 to 8 p.m.: $3 Shots; 8 to 9 p.m.: $4 Appetizers; and 9 p.m to close: $5 Casamigos Margaritas. In addition to food and beverage specials, live salsa entertainment provided by David Lozada will keep the party going starting at 10 p.m. Loco Cantina will also host a “Find the Mariachi Band” scavenger hunt; the band will actually be performing in Town Square Park where staff will be handing out certificates for complimentary beers and margaritas courtesy of Corona and Casamigos. The performance in the park begins at 5 p.m.
Social media personality and international model Jessa Hinton will host T&T’s “Sexy de Mayo Très” fiesta in honor of Cinco de Mayo from 6 to 9 p.m. on Thursday, May 5. Hinton is best known for roles in Comedy Central’s “Tosh.0” as well as the popular drama series “Baywatch.” While at T&T, Hinton will walk the red carpet before mingling with fans throughout the evening. 
Miller's Ale House is offering $5 watermelon margarita pitchers and $5 zingers all day.
No Regrets is celebrating Cinco de Mayo all weekend long from May 5 to May 8. The event features live entertainment, games, giveaways, pinatas, and more. Drink specials include SALT Citrus Tequila shots for $5, Corona buckets for $20, $4 draft specials, and two-for-one margaritas.
Pancho's Mexican Restaurant in Downtown Summerlin is throwing its first Cinco de Mayo fiesta with all-day entertainment and tequila shot specials. Mariachis will provide traditional entertainment from noon to 6 p.m., and a blues-rock band will heat up the cantina dance floor from 9:30 p.m. until closing. A party tent, located adjacent to the restaurant, will feature drink specials and a DJ from 4 p.m. to midnight.
Pink Taco at the Hard Rock hotel-casino is hosting its Pinko de Mayo Fiesta starting at 6 p.m. The event features street-cart tacos, drink specials adult snow cones, pinatas stuffed with candy and prizes, a Don Julio Blanco Tequila ice luge, beachside games like cornhole and beer pong, music from a DJ and mariachis, and more. Guests can also participate in taco eating contests throughout the night - the first person to finish 25 tacos wins a free Pink Taco t-shirt and gift certificate.


Drink specials include a bucket of Dos Equis for $10 and Casa Noble tequila shots for $3. The restaurant also offers The Mexican Pizza, topped with Wisconsin cheddar, serrano peppers, caramelized onions, chorizo, Cholula Hot Sauce, fried eggs and refried beans.

Guests will be greeted under the dome with a DJ and festive decor, including an eight foot tall pinata that will be popped at 6 p.m. The dome will also have life size Fiesta Couple cutouts and Pin the Tail on the Burro for guests 21 and over. Zaba's Mexican Grill, Beer Garden, and Oscar's steakhouse will all have food and cocktail specials. Live entertainment will be available throughout the plaza from May 5 until May 7.

In honor of Cinco de Mayo, PBR Rock Bar will be serving $5 Coronas and Casa Nobles tequila drinks.

Rí Rá celebrates Cinco de Mayo with a special menu complete with Bean and Cheese Sopes ($9.95), Beef Nachos ($11.95), Pork Posole ($10.95), Beef Tostadas ($13.95) and Chicken Enchiladas ($15.95).

Sourdough Café’s Cinco de Mayo special includes three beef or chicken street tacos served with rice and beans, a cheese quesadilla, chips and salsa and delectable churros for desert. Diners can enjoy Sourdough Café’s Cinco de Mayo special for $11.99 with an ace | PLAY card and $13.33 for non-members.

STK inside The Cosmopolitan Las Vegas will be mixing up the Picante Passion all month long with tequila, red chili pepper and watermelon with a Tajin spiced rim for $18. The cocktail will be served alongside a complimentary shot of tequila.
The Mexican restaurant at Aliante Casino + Hotel + Spa will feature live Latin music, a complementary shot of Cazadores tequila for each diner and two-for-one Roca Patron margaritas.
TREVI Italian Restaurant located inside The Forum Shops at Caesars Palace has a great tequila cocktail made with Sweet Heat Tequila, Crabbie's Ginger Beer and a fresh squeezed lime wedge. The restaurant also offers an Italian twist on the Hispanic holiday with happy hour specials from 2-6 p.m. and 9 p.m. to close. Happy hour includes $6 appetizers including fried calamari, homemade meatballs, eggplant crips and more, plus additional drink specials at the bar.

The Mad Botanist

•1 oz Soltado Tequila 
•3/4 oz Fernet
•1/2 oz green chartreuse 
•1/2 oz lime juice 
•1/4 oz agave syrup 
•Garnish lemon peel 
Shake all with ice, strain into a cocktail glass filled with ice. Garnish.
Weekend in Malibu
Rob Bennett, Blu Wolf Bistro 
•1.5 oz Soltado Tequila 
•.5 oz Triple Sec 
•2 Muddled Strawberries 
•3 oz House made sour mix 
•Lime + Strawberry Garnish 
Muddle strawberries with the tequila unless quite macerated. Add ice, margarita mix, and shake hard, until frothy. Pour into a tall glass filled with ice. Garnish with a lime wheel and strawberry slice.
The Russian's Cat
James Black, Nox Cocktail Lounge 
•3 oz Soltado Tequila 
•1 oz Solerno Blood Orange 
•.50 oz Citrónge Lime Liqueur 
•2  Dashes Fee Brothers Lemon Bitters 
•Optional: Pinch Alder Smoked Salt 
Shake all ingredients, strain into rocks glass. Garnish with a pinch of salt, tossed into the glass just before serving.
Bayou Sling
Juan Arboleda, Gentilly Kitchen & Bar 
•1 1/2 oz Soltado Tequila 
•1 oz simple syrup (2:1 sugar to water) 
•1 oz grapefruit juice 
•1 oz orange cordial 
•3/4 oz lemon juice 
•San Pellegrino Pompelmo
•Sea salt 
•Orange peel garnish 
Shake all ingredients with ice, strain into a tall glass, filled with ice. Top with San Pellegrino pompelmo and a pinch of sea salt. Orange peel garnish.
Pineapple Mint Julep

•1.5 oz Soltado Tequila 
•4 oz fresh pineapple cubes 
•Dash mint bitters 
•2 oz ginger beer 
•Crushed ice 
•Garnish: lime wheel, mint 
Muddle the mint leaves in a shaker, add the pineapple, muddle again. Add the tequila and the bitters, shake with ice. Strain into a cocktail glass filled with ice. Top with ginger beer, stir. Garnish.
The Green Easy

Serves 4 
•6 oz Soltado Tequila 
•1/2 avocado, peeled, sliced and pitted 
•4 ounces fresh lime juice   
•2 ounces orange liqueur 
•1 oz agave nectar 
•2 cups ice 
•Garnish: sea salt rim (optional), lime wedges 
Rim the glasses, if preferred, and set aside.
Place ice cubes, tequila, avocado, orange liqueur, lime juice and agave in a blender, blend until smooth. Garnish with a lime wedge.
Smoking in Paradise

Serves 2 
•1 cup fresh or frozen mango, cubed 
•2 oz Soltado Tequila 
•1 tbs fresh lime juice 
•.5 oz dry orange liqueur 
•1 oz smoky mezcal
•1 tbs agave 
•Dash orange bitters 
•1.5 cups ice cubes 
Blend all ingredients in a blender until smooth and serve.

For those that need a ride home after the festivities, AAA Nevada will take you and your car home for free from 6 p.m. on May 5th until 6 a.m. on May 6th as part of its Tipsy Tow program. 
To use the service, call 800-222-4357 (AAA-HELP) and tell the operator, "I need a Tipsy Tow." A tow truck will provide a free tow home for up to ten miles. You do not need to be a AAA member to use this service.
