UPDATE FEB. 18: The Animal Foundation says 160 animals were adopted in just three days during their Valentine's Day promotion.
On Facebook the nonprofit shared a video of empty kennels, saying:
Our Valentine’s promotion was a huge success! 🐶🐱💕 There are so many empty kennels at the shelter. 😮 As many as 160 animals were adopted in 3 days. As of this morning, only 20 dogs and 7 cats are still looking for good homes! Even our longest term resident Baby found a furever home.

LAS VEGAS (KTNV) -- This Valentine’s Day, The Animal Foundation is offering a new adoption special in the hope of finding the perfect matches for the shelter’s large dogs in search of loving homes.
The discounted dog adoptions beginning on February 14 and continuing through February 16 will include spay/neuter surgery, microchip and up-to-date vaccines.
A city/government fee up to $10 may apply.
Prospective dog parents can visit The Animal Foundation’s Engelstad Family Adoption Center at 655 N. Mojave or its Everyday Adoption Center at PetSmart at 286 W. Lake Mead Parkway in Henderson from 11am to 7pm daily to meet the shelter pets.
The Animal Foundation is one of the highest volume single-site animal shelters and pet adoption centers in the nation and provides refuge for thousands of homeless animals throughout the Las Vegas Valley. This latest promotion is just one of the many life-saving and life-changing efforts implemented as part of Mission: Possible 2020, the initiative to save all healthy and treatable animals in our care by 2020.
