13 Things To Do This Week In Las Vegas For March 6-12

Here is a list of 13 things to do this week in Las Vegas for the dates of March 6 through 12:

1. City National Arena is hosting a VGK Skate & Watch Party during the game against the Winnipeg Jets on March 6. There will be in-game contests, prizes and giveaways. The Shake Shack will be onsite and serving free scoops of their signature frozen custard.

2. The Sand Dollar Lounge is hosting The Ma'am Jam on March 6. The show is hosted by the Las Vegas Blues Society.

3. "Brain Art" is the theme for this month's First Friday celebration on March 6. This month's featured artist is Harmony Joy of Las Vegas. Live entertainment includes HaleAmanO. Millennials in Motion artist Emily Simms will also unveil a piece. There will also be food trucks and live entertainment.

4. The first Neo Asian Expo featuring "So You Think You Can Dance" winner Bailrok is happening March 7 at CMXX in downtown Las Vegas' Art District. The event will also feature dance workshops, speaker panels, art installations, live graffiti exhibitions, food trucks, and a marketplace of Asian artwork and fashion.

5. 18bin in downtown Las Vegas is hosting a tribute to David Bowie on March 7. Admission is free and there will be drink specials. Attendees are encouraged to wear costumes.

6. Billy Idol is back at the Palms hotel-casino this weekend. His show returns on Friday night in the Pearl Theater and he will be singing his biggest hits, including "Rebel Yell," "White Wedding" and "Mony Mony."

7. The legendary rock band Chicago is performing this weekend at The Venetian. They will also perform March 11, 13 and 14. Chicago has been hailed as one of the "most important bands in music since the dawn of the rock and roll era."

8. The Harry Potter parody "Potted Potter" recently celebrated its 350th performance at Bally's Las Vegas and has been extended until next January. The show is described as a comedy feast of all seven Harry Potter books acted out in just 70 minutes. Dark on Thursdays.

9. The annual Bark in the Park event is happening March 7 in at Cornerstone Park in Henderson. There will be demonstrations, pet-friendly vendors and lots of beautiful dogs. Leashes are required.

10. The 11th annual St. Baldrick's Day head-shaving event is happening again at New York-New York on March 7. In addition to the head shaving, there will be food and drink, entertainment, and activities for all ages. The event has raised more than $2.5 million over the past decade.

11. Brooklyn Bowl is hosting a free '80s dance party on March 7 from 8 p.m. to 1 a.m. Dance the night away to classic '80s tunes on the dance floor or enjoy bowling by the half hour. Drink specials throughout the night.

12. Breakout Fiction Writer Jamel Brinkley will appear March 9 at UNLV's Beverly Rogers Literature and Law Building. Brinkley is the author of "A Lucky Man," a finalist for the National Book Award in Fiction and the PEN/Robert W. Bingham Prize. The event is free, but reservation required.

13. Join Vegas Bike Life and the Island Bar & Lounge for their first Two-Wheel Tuesday on March 10. The first 50 people will receive a door prize ticket. The Island Bar features daily $5 meals and $5 drafts. There will also be live entertainment and vendors.
