Whether you're a seasoned runner or just barely getting started, here are 13 of our favorite racing events in Las Vegas:

Rock 'n' Roll Marathon
The Las Vegas Strip will shut down, allowing runners to enjoy the bright lights of Sin City and live music from various stages along the course. There's also a big-name headliner performance before the race starts - this year the Goo Goo Dolls are performing, and previous races had Snoop Dogg, Kid Rock, and Macklemore. The event takes place this year on Nov. 11-12, 2017 and includes 5K, 10K, and half marathon options.

PJ 5K and 1-Mile Walk
For those that just can't wait for the holidays, the PJ 5K and 1-mile walk will let participants run through the Glittering Lights at Las Vegas Motor Speedway. Everyone will get milk and cookies during the race, and awards will be given to runners with the best pajamas. Speedway Children's Charities will also collect donations of new pajamas to be given to children in need. The event takes place on Nov. 19, 2017.

The Color Run
Dubbed "the happiest 5K on the planet," the Color Run is the largest running series in the world. Runners start at the beginning wearing white and are doused with puffs of color at every kilometer. The race ends with a party featuring live music and color throws. This event plans on coming back to Las Vegas in 2018, though the exact date has not yet been announced.

Single Track Mind
Whether you're single and looking for the love of your life, or you're a couple enjoying a scenic run together, this event is for you. Runners will get a sticker that says "single" or "taken," and can choose to run the course at the Lake Las Vegas Sports Club for 1, 2, or 3 hours. The course is packed with activities like a run through wedding chapel, kissing booths, an “old married couple” aid station, relationship therapists, relationship tarot card reading, a hot cocoa aid station, photo booths, yoga, belly dancing, and more. There's also a dinner and dance party after the race. The event takes place on Feb. 10, 2018.

Scale the Strat - Las Vegas Fight for Air Climb
Participants will climb the stairs of the Stratosphere, starting at the bottom and working their way up 108 floors (or 1455 steps) to the top. The event raises money for the American Lung Association, and this year's race will feature firefighters climbing in full gear! Scale the Strat will be held on Feb. 25, 2018.

Hot Chocolate 15K/5K
Runners and chocolate aficionados will gather at the Linq hotel-casino to indulge in sweet stations scattered throughout the course. Naturally, runners will get a mug filled with hot chocolate at the end of the race, along with chocolate fondue and dippable treats. The event will be held on Feb. 25, 2018.

Blood, Sweat & Beers
This trail run at Bootleg Canyon has two races: one in the morning and one at night. Run both, and you'll earn yourself a custom pilsner glass. Tracks include a 2K Lil' Dashers Course, a 5K, a 10K, a half marathon, a 30K, and a marathon.

Once in a Double Blue Moon
When two full moons take place in the same month, the second one is called a blue moon. And when that phenomenon happens twice in the same year, it's called a double blue moon. The latter is pretty rare, and we won't see another one until 2037. So Once in a Double Blue Moon is celebrated with a race under the moonlight at Sunset Park. The event takes place on March 31, 2018, and race options include a 5K, a 10K, and a half marathon.

REVEL Mt. Charleston
This race follows the smooth downhill slope of Kyle Canyon Road down Mt. Charleston, which allows marathon runners to hit ridiculously fast times. (The average marathon time hovers around 4 hours and 30 minutes, while the average time for the Mt. Charleston run is 3 hours and 57 minutes). That's good news for serious runners since this race is a Boston qualifier. The event also has a half marathon option and will be held on April 28, 2018.

Flight of Fire/Night of Fire
This trail race at Red Rock Canyon is limited to 200 people, so you can better enjoy the scenic views as you work your way through the course. There's a daytime and a nighttime option, and events include a 5K, a 10K, and a half marathon. The event will be held on May 12, 2018.

Badass Dash
Similar to events like Tough Mudder or Spartan Race, this 7K mud run is packed with over 40 obstacles, which is roughly ten obstacles per mile. You'll climb over walls, weave through hanging tires, plunge down a giant slip-n-slide, and more. The event will be held at Sam Boyd Stadium on May 19, 2018.

Insane Inflatable 5K
These aren't your average bounce houses. This course features enormous inflatable obstacles that were custom built for this event. Obstacles include climbing walls, slides, wrecking balls, and more. The next one takes place at Craig Ranch Regional Park on May 19, 2018.
