A 31 year old San Francisco woman, Tiffany Li, has posted the highest bail in Bay Area history at $35 million.

Li is accused of murdering her ex-boyfriend, and the father of her two children, to avoid losing custody.

Li used her mother's wealthy contacts to raise over $4 million in cash and $61 million in San Francisco area property to leverage as bail.

The San Mateo District Attorney Steve Wagstaffe believes Li is a flight risk, but if she was to leave for China, the $65 million in cash and assets can be confiscated by the county.

Only time will tell if Li plans on fighting the charges or leaving others to pay her debt.
