A little girl got some help from a UFC fighter on Mount Charleston this Labor Day weekend.

Miesha Tate was hiking at Mary Jane Falls Sunday when she saw a mother struggling to carry her 6-year-old daughter down the trail so she offered to help out, according to Tate's Facebook page.

Tate wrote the mother asked her daughter "would you rather have me or her carry you down" when the girl, named Kai, said she wanted Tate to carry her.

"Kai and I learned a lot about each other on the roughly 2-mile descent and it's fair to say she inspired me," Tate wrote on the page. "We made it all the way down without slipping or falling! We agreed we would both be strong for each other!"

Kai sent Tate a thank you message after helping her down the trail.

Tate said on Instagram, "And I just have to say this was one of the most rewarding days of my athletic career."

The girl's family also thanked Tate in an Instagram post.

"She offered to help us carry her down the mountain. Such an amazing and humble person to have met," Andrew Abalos wrote. "Our family can't thank you enough for all the help. You saved us easily hours of hiking and helped us get her to the hospital sooner."

Tate defeated Holly Holm for the UFC Bantaweight Championship earlier this year but lost in July at UFC 200 to Amanada Nunes.
