Uber launched its new carpool service - uberPOOL - in Las Vegas on Tuesday.
The service allows users heading towards the same place at the same time to share the journey. Uber says that carpooling will lead to cheaper rides for passengers and less congestion on the roadways.
Uber says there is a maximum of two people per ride and the service only adds a few minutes to the trip.
Lyft started a similar service in the Las Vegas valley last week.
