A birdnapping in California was caught on camera but the parrot didn't get too far.
In the video taken Thursday, the thief snatched the African gray parrot named Max in a blanket and ran out the door to a Uber car.
The thief got away after dropping her cell phone at the scene with the Uber app open, KTLA reported.
On Saturday, Max the parrot was returned to the South Gate store. The suspect was arrested later that evening.
