Actor Jesse Williams' viral BET Awards speech has prompted two different online petitions.

One of them wants the Grey's Anatomy star fired, the other wants him to stay on the show. If you missed it, check it out below.

Williams' speech mentioned the unlawful killing of innocent black victims and the names of Sandra Bland, Tamir Rice and more.

One of the petitions calls the speech Williams gave last month a "racist, hate speech against law enforcement and white people."

It has more than 5,200 signatures. The petition that wants to keep him on the show, has more than 5,400 signatures.

Grey's Anatomy creator Shonda Rhimes spoke out against the petition on Monday via twitter writing:
It's safe to say that Williams is in no danger of losing his job on the hit show.

Williams received the 2016 BET Humanitarian Award for his work with the Black Lives Matter movement.
