IKEA is significantly expanding its paid parental leave for U.S. employees.
The home furniture store says starting Jan. 1, workers can get up to 4 months paid parental leave.
Under the current system, IKEA parents are eligible for 5 days of paid leave in addition to 6-8 weeks of paid disability leave.
The retailer says new parental leave benefits will apply to birth mothers and fathers, as well as adoptive and foster parents.
