The first official trailer for a movie about the life of Tupac Shakur was released on Thursday morning.

Today would have been the rapper's 46th birthday. Tupac died in a Las Vegas hospital in 1996 after he was gunned down near Koval Lane and Flamingo Road. Shakur had attended the boxing match between Bruce Seldon and Mike Tyson with Suge Knight at the MGM Grand prior to being shot.

The film is titled "All Eyez on Me" and will document both his life and death.

The movie is scheduled to be released Nov. 11, just a couple of months after the 20th anniversary of his death. Several scenes for the movie were filmed in Las Vegas in April of this year.

The movie is directed by music video veteran Benny Boom and stars Demetrius Shipp Jr. as Tupac, Jada Pinkett as Kat Graham, Dominic L. Santana as Suge Knight, Danai Gurira as Afena Shakur, and Jamal Woolard as Biggie Smalls.
