Warner Brothers is eager to cast the actor known best for playing Harry Potter in a film version of "Harry Potter and the Cursed Child," according to the New York Daily News.
Daniel Radcliffe, however, has said he wants to put some distance between himself and the character he created on screen.
The play follows the boy wizard into adulthood. It is currently on the London stage and the script has been released as a book.
The soonest Harry Potter could return to movie theaters would be 2020.
