Billionaire casino mogul Steve Wynn is under fire for some comments he made about the less fortunate.

In a presentation to investors Wednesday night, Wynn said his company is like a luxury brand that focuses on people with money and likened his brand Steve Wynn Resorts--to companies like Chanel and Louis Vuitton.

"Rich people only like being around rich people," he said. "Nobody likes being around poor people, especially poor people. So we try and make the place feel upscale for everyone. That is to say we cater to people who have discretion and judgment and we give them a choice and we are consistent in that."

In fairness to Wynn, the point he may have been trying to get across was that he is trying to create an environment of wealth for all to enjoy when they visit his properties.

However, when you are worth an estimated $2.7 billion, it's probably not a great idea to bring up the "poor people."

A spokesperson for Wynn told 13 Action News "no comment" when asked for a statement.
