An argument led to two fights and a school lockdown on Friday.

The initial call around 3:30 p.m. came in as a domestic dispute.

A woman was very distraught and said that she and her boyfriend were arguing outside of David M. Cox Elementary School.

The woman got inside a vehicle, but instead of putting the car in drive, she put it in reverse and hit a fence on the backside of the school.

The fence fell down and nearly hit students on the sidewalk. Some of the students received scrapes and bruises from jumping out of the way, but were not hospitalized.

A female parent was near the scene and went to talk to the woman and they ended up in a verbal argument. The parent then punched the woman and a fight occurred.

The parent that punched the woman flashed a gun, and the woman took off in her car.

The man stayed on scene and officers talked to him.

The woman was arrested and taken to the Henderson Detention Center on charges of reckless and impaired driving.

The school was placed on brief lockdown because there were students there for after-school programs.
