A female pedestrian is dead after she was hit by a truck near Lake Mead Boulevard and Rock Springs drive.
According to a police investigation, the woman was walking on the sidewalk around 4 p.m. Saturday when she was struck by a 2008 Dodge Ram that was pulling out of a private driveway.
The woman, identified as 60-year-old Maria Becerra from Las Vegas, was pronounced dead at the scene. Police say the 60-year-old male driver showed no signs of impairment.
