Woman dies after Feb. 16 crash near Pebble, Bermuda roads

A 74-year-old woman died after not yielding at a stop sign last week.

Around 4:45 p.m. Feb. 16, a crash occurred at the intersection of East Pebble Road and Hidden Palms Parkway, east of Bermuda Road. Police said a 2002 Dodge Stratus was traveling south on Hidden Palms Parkway and was stopped at a posted stop sign located at East Pebble Road. The driver of the Dodge Stratus failed to yield the right of way from a stop sign and entered the intersection as the Hyundai Genesis approached, causing a traffic collision. 

The driver of the Dodge Stratus was transported to UMC Trauma Center with injuries determined to be life-threatening by staff. The driver of the Hyundai remained at the scene and did not show any signs of impairment. 

On Feb. 19, the Clark County coroner was notified the driver of the Dodge died of her injuries.
