Winter Storm Jonas impacting travel at McCarran

A huge winter storm is expected to hit the eastern half of the country and it is having an effect on flights in and out of McCarran International Airport in Las Vegas.

Many airlines have canceled flights in anticipation of the storm. A total of 2,700 domestic flights have been canceled Friday, according to the Weather Channel

Philadelphia International Airport has also canceled all Saturday flights and the Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority announced that the Metrorail, Metrobus and MetroAccess service would be suspended during the blizzard.

TRACK DELAYED AND CANCELED FLIGHTS ACROSS THE COUNTRY

Airlines that have canceled flights include America, Jet Blue, Southwest, Air Canada and United Airlines.

Canceled flights are expected to affect flights and travelers in other parts of the country that are not a direct target of the storm that has been named Jonas.

If you are traveling out of McCarran airport or are expecting visitors this weekend, check with the airport and airline before you head to McCarran.
