A wind advisory is in effect until 3 a.m. Tuesday for the Las Vegas valley. Peak gusts could be between 50 and 55 mph.
The system will also cause temperatures to drop throughout the day with afternoon highs in the upper 60s.
The wind will gradually die down although we could get some gusts as strong as 30 mph through late morning Tuesday. By Wednesday, the temperatures will increase to the upper 70s and it will be slightly breezy.
No major damage has been reported so far for the area.
