The Clark County School District is forced to cancel Monday's classes and activities at Green Valley High School due to a water line break at the school.

School district officials released a message to parents stating all classes and practices are canceled on Monday as the school will not have functioning restrooms or fire prevention systems because of the issue.

Crews are working as quickly as possible on the water line break, according to the CCSD, that occurred over the weekend.

13 Action News spoke with Green Valley students at the nearby Foodie Fest at Sunset Station who are excited to not have class, but say they've noticed issues with water at the school before.

“We’ve had a lot of plumbing problems recently so Ive seen a lot of janitors going in and out of the bathrooms to fix things so not too big of a shock," said one student.

All scheduled games taking place at other sites will proceed as normal with an expected update from the district on this situation Monday afternoon.
