LAS VEGAS (KTNV) — The Clark County School District and Supt. Jesus Jara held a meeting this morning to discuss the transition of students in pre-kindergarten through grade 3 into a hybrid instructional model.

WATCH THE MEETING BELOW

On Jan. 14, 2021, the Clark County School District Board of Trustees approved a Memorandum of Agreement between the District and the Clark County Education Association to transition students in Pre-Kindergarten through Grade 3 into the hybrid instructional model. The implementation of the hybrid instructional model for students in Pre-Kindergarten through Grade 3 will begin on March 1, 2021, for students. Throughout the second semester, the District will work to transition additional grade levels to the hybrid instructional model; however, there is currently no timeline for this transition.

As the safety and health of our students and staff is a priority, the District will implement the safety and health protocols in alignment with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and the Southern Nevada Health District.

Next Steps

In order to plan for this transition, the District is requesting that all Pre-Kindergarten through Grade 3 parents complete the hybrid cohort questionnaire. The three item questionnaire is vital to helping schools plan for staffing and transportation. In order to access the survey, please click here [aarsiapps.ccsd.net]. The deadline to complete the questionnaire is 6 p.m. Jan. 29, 2021. Parents who have already taken this questionnaire in the last week will have one opportunity to change their response before the deadline.
