LAS VEGAS (KTNV) — Authorities say a teenager died on New Year's Day after they were notified about an "alcohol-related" incident at a Summerlin home.
The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department reports it was called by the fire department regarding an unresponsive teen at a house located in the Ridges community at 8:35 a.m. on Friday.
The teenager was transported from the home to a local hospital but ended up passing away.

LVMPD says it is awaiting an autopsy before deciding to investigate the situation.
Sunday, the Alexander Dawson School at Rainbow Mountain shared a message on its website about losing one of its eighth-grade students on New Year's Day.
Several replies have been seen on the Alexander Dawson School Facebook page since it reported the student's death.
