UPDATE: Vegas police say 2 missing girls found safe

UPDATE FEB. 12: Las Vegas police say the two missing girls who authorities asked for help finding on Tuesday have been found safe overnight.

LAS VEGAS (KTNV) -- The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department is asking for the public's assistance in helping to find two missing juveniles in the Las Vegas area.

The LVMPD Missing Persons Detail reported 14-year-old Elizabeth Walley and 6-year-old Erika Walley missing and endangered Tuesday evening.

Police also said the two might be in severe emotional distress and in need of medical assistance.

The two were last seen earlier on Tuesday at about 3:15 p.m. in the 1200 block of Chapman Drive, near Maryland Parkway and Charleston Boulevard.

Anyone with information regarding the missing girls were urged to contact LVMPD at (702) 828-3111, or missing persons detail at (702) 828-2907.

Hospitals were also asked to check their registries for the two and notify authorities immediately.
