LAS VEGAS (KTNV) — Elly Brown has been singing and acting since age six.

She moved to Las Vegas to be in the show "Jubilee" and since making her debut, she has landed countless acting gigs and life changing opportunities.

Her career was climbing but things changed when her doctor found a large tumor on her tongue.

Brown had cancer and doctors had to cut nearly half of her tongue and some of her jawbone in a hours-long operation.

The recovery process was slow but after months of healing, Brown is feeling normal again.

Brown is now using her platform to share her journey with the world and inspire others to follow their dreams no matter what.

Her Facebook page has over 100,000 likes and her videos have been viewed over 10 million times.

She's hoping to one day make it back to the stage where she belongs.
