UPDATE FEB. 3: The Clark County Coroner's office has identified the two people who died in a car crash in southwest Las Vegas on Saturday afternoon as 69-year-old Barbara Brender and 58-year-old Mariann Quinones. The office did not list the cities of residence for the deceased.
LAS VEGAS (KTNV) -- Las Vegas police are investigating a deadly crash in the southwest part of town Saturday afternoon.
Officers responded to a reported traffic collision at the intersection of Fort Apache Road and Tompkins Avenue, north of Tropicana Avenue, at about 11:10 a.m.

Authorities said two people were killed in one of the vehicles with the driver of the other vehicle transported to the hospital in critical condition.
Police did not immediately release the cause of the crash, and impairment was unknown.
Officers remained at the scene for their investigation as several travel lanes on Fort Apache Road were closed.
