LAS VEGAS (KTNV) — Two teams of Las Vegas firefighters handled the heat this morning in a burger eating challenge for charity.

Las Vegas Fire & Rescue went head-to-head with Clark County Fire Department on May 16 to raise money for the Firefighters of Southern Nevada Burn Foundation, which supports fire victims and their families.

Farmer Boys sponsored the event and donated $100 for every burger eaten.

They collectively ate 47 quarter pound burgers topped with jalapeños during the challenge, raising $4,700 in 20 minutes.

At 27 burgers, Las Vegas Fire & Rescue was the winning team, walking away from the competition full of burgers, pride, and with a trophy to proudly display in their stations.
