A vacant home caught fire Sunday afternoon in the same neighborhood as two other fires this past fall.
The fire Sunday occurred around 2:40 p.m. in the 6000 block of Castlemont Avenue, near Mt. Hood Street and Carey Avenue. When Clark County firefighters arrived, there was a double wide manufactured home with smoke and flames showing. The fire was knocked down at 2:51 p.m.
There were no injuries reported.
The cause of the fire is under investigation. Damages have not yet been estimated.
On Nov. 16, there was a fire at a vacant double wide trailer in the 6100 block of Castlemont Avenue.
And the night before that fire, there was a fire in the 6000 block of Casa Loma Avenue, just south of Castlemont Avenue. This was also a vacant mobile home.
