Man identified after motorcycle crash on US 95

One person died and one seriously injured in a crash involving three motorcycles near Searchlight Sunday afternoon.

The person was identified as 38-year-old Shamon Tavar Hudson of Las Vegas. His cause of death is pending.

Around 4 p.m., three motorcycles crashed on U.S. 95 near Mile Marker 30.

Nevada Highway Patrol said one person was transported by helicopter to University Medical Center from the scene.

Southbound and northbound lanes of U.S. 95 were initially closed after the crash. Northbound lanes were still closed around 6:20 p.m. but NHP planned to open the shoulder to traffic.

NHP was on scene investigating the crash.
