UPDATE: U.S. 95 reopened around 11:15 a.m. According to Creech Air Force Base, one of their dogs trained to sniff explosives alerted guards to a problem inside of a vehicle at the main gatre at around 8:27 a.m.
Precautions were taken until the vehicle was thouroughly inspected. The vehicle was deemed safe at 11:06 a.m.

U.S. 95 is closed in both directions just north of Lee Canyon Road.
Creech Air Force Base asked Nevada Highway Patrol to close the highway while they investigate a suspicious package.
The incident began around 10 a.m.
