Northbound U.S. 95 reopened after a 90-minute closure allowed crews to patch large potholes that formed near the Spaghetti Bowl.
Pictures showed one hole that was about 2 feet long and a foot wide.
Crews raced to fill that with asphalt after it was closed around 8 p.m.
13 Action News was told about six vehicles were damaged after hitting what amounted to a large pothole on the freeway.
The road was reopened around 9:30 p.m.
