Travelers at McCarran International Airport now have a quick and convenient way to receive healthcare before or after flying.

Code 3 Urgent Care opened its first airport-based facility at McCarran International Airport this month.

Passengers, airport employees, and others can walk into the clinic and receive treatment for colds, minor injuries, and other ailments.

There are even x-ray services available and rapid testing for infections like strep or urinary tract.

"We'll get you up, feeling better in a short period of time and back on your next flight," said nurse practitioner Elizabeth Brown.

The Texas-based company decided to open an urgent care inside of an airport due to the large amount of people who pass through the airport and a demand for quick medical services.

"We really wanted to bring the clinic to the people and offer convenience," Brown said.

Las Vegas resident Lei Mahoe frequently flies out of McCarran International Airport and is excited about the new clinic.

"I think it's good that they have that here because you would have to catch a taxi or Uber or Lyft to go to another urgent care," Mahoe said.

Code 3 said clinic visits will be comparable in cost to other urgent care facilities. They accept most major insurance plans.
