According to the coroner, the patient transported from the scene of an apartment fire in critical condition has passed away.
The Clark County Fire Department responded to a report of a fire at 5421 E. Harmon Ave., near Boulder Highway.
Upon arrival crews reported heavy smoke and flames from the second floor of the 2-story apartment building. Crews had knockdown of the fire by 4:54 a.m.
Search crews found the first victim inside the apartment unconscious and unresponsive. The person was transported to the hospital.
Another person received minor injuries and was treated at the scene.
