UNLV hosts vigil after New Zealand mosque attacks

LAS VEGAS (KTNV) — UNLV is hosting a vigil tonight to honor lives lost due to hate and violence around the world, and to honor the 49 lives lost in the New Zealand mosque attacks.

The vigil will take place at UNLV's Student Union Pida Plaza on Maryland Parkway near Harmon Avenue from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m.

The guest speaker is Imam Fateen Seifullah of Masjid-As-Sabur in Las Vegas.

The vigil is open for everyone to attend.

It's hosted by the Muslim community of Southern Nevada in conjunction with the UNLV Muslim Student Association, and Interfaith Council of Southern Nevada.
