LAS VEGAS (KTNV) — The University of Nevada, Las Vegas announced six new, online certificate programs for cannabis careers, starting Sept. 1. It's in partnership with Green Flower, a cannabis education and training company.

Each program covers each of the sectors of the cannabis industry: cultivation, development and manufacturing, retail and sales, compliance and medical.
"This is an industry where people are becoming more accepting of the product. The medical use is gaining more traction and the industry is really gaining legitimacy, so our hope is that these programs really allow a whole slew of new people to enter the industry and build really great careers inside of it," said Green Flower CEO Max Simon.
Registration is now open, and there are discounts for people who sign up for the first cohort.
You do not have to be a UNLV student.
The programs last eight or 16 weeks.
